Scouts are the beacons of Jamborees.

Two big National Jamborees were hosted by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines this year: The 8th National Venture Camp held last October 7-12, 2019 at the National Steel Corporation, Iligan City and the 17th National Scout Jamboree last December 1-7 2019 at Camp Kainomayan, Botalan, Zambales.  which the scouts of Outfit 90 of STEFTI had participated in.

Thirty six Senior Scouts and 5 Adult Leaders from STEFTI were sent off to represent the city in the 8th National Venture Camp and brought home 2 awards – 2nd Place in Sub-Camp Campfire Presentation and an Outstanding Performance for Cultural Presentation. The scouts likewise shared their talents through the Scouts-Got-Talent and showed-off their skills on the different modules.

On the other hand, scouts of Outfit 90 of the school were sent to Zambales. Forty Senior Scouts, 3 Boy Scouts and 4 Adult Leaders from STEFTI represented the City together with the rest of the scouts from the council in one of the biggest jamborees, the 17th National Scout Jamboree. The STEFTI scouts pulled off a very successful and impressive presentation during the Talent night and the Cultural night that brought name to their sub-camps and the council. The STEFTI delegation was headed by Mr. Jeramil Suello, Scouting Coordinator.

The scouts went home not only with a bag full of awards and acknowledgements but with memories filled with fun and learnings.
