St. Therese Educational Foundation of Tacloban Inc. embarked on another milestone as it concluded its 18th Foundation Anniversary Celebration which was held last September 22 to October 6.
This year’s theme was anchored on “STEFTI: We are brave,” highlighting bravery and courage of the community with Christ in times of adversity.
A series of activities marked the celebration led by the STEFTI Administration, and aided by other school organizations such as the Senior High School Supreme Student Council.
The 9-day Novena Masses in honor of St. Therese, the Students’ Sportsfest, the HSCP Sportfest, the 2nd Ofelia P. Triste Debate Cup Tournament, and the Family Fun Run were among the highlights of the anniversary.
On October 1, the Feast Day of St. Therese of Lisieux, students had a Classroom Fiesta Celebration in honor of the school’s patroness. In the evening, Elementary Night was held wherein pupils from the department showcased their talents both in singing and dancing.
The Junior and Senior High students took control of the stage as they presented various dance and song numbers from every level during the High School Night.
Of course the parents could never be outdone as they showcased their dancing and singing skills during the Parents’ Night on October 3. The Red Crusaders Team bagged the top prize as they were hailed champion in the Dance Fusion Competition.
The Family Day on October 5, which was the culmination of the foundation anniversary, capped the week-long celebration. The raffle draw in the evening kept the families from going home early as the raffle items included Recreational Package, Active Lifestyle Equipment, Entertainment Set along with other major prizes. A fireworks display closed the evening, leaving families awed and entertained.
A Staff day was also held to give time for the faculty and staff to have a relaxing day after a successful celebration of the school’s 18th Foundation Anniversary.
