STEFTI Debaters Guild’s Team A was awarded the Grand Champion in the Eastern Visayas Debate Championship: Asian Parliamentary last February 7-, 2020.

Debaters John Lorenz S. Lesiguez, Sebastian Miguel D. Rudas, and Alexandra Julea Onida made a new record as the STEFTI Debaters Guild triumphed over the Liceo Del Verbo Divino in the final round of the high school category of the said competition.

The team’s whip, Sebastian Rudas, bagged the title as 8th Best Speaker among all the debaters and Best Speaker in the Finals of the high school category.  It was Sebastian’s second time to bag the prestigious distinction as he also bagged these titles during the last EVDC British Parliamentary.

STEFTI B, composed of Marie Noelle F. Castillo, Bridgette Martillano, and Sean Ernest Siega, also broke as semi-finalists with Siega winning the title 3rd Best Speaker. The guild’s Prime Minister, Josuena Mari B. Pauner bagged the title 2nd Best Adjudicator among other participants with Sophia Margaret P. Maraya as one of the breaking adjudicators.
