STEFTI scribes Sophia Gabrielle C. Naputo and Ces Hara G. Suarez won first place in Pagkuha ng Larawang Pampahayagan and Feature Writing, respectively during the recently concluded Regional Schools Press Conference at Dolores, Eastern Samar last May 31-June 2.  Naputo, a Grade 10 student, will represent the region in the national level competing under the High School category.  Suarez, a Grade 6 pupil, on the other hand, will compete with other elementary pupils in Feature Writing.  Both will proceed to the National Schools Press Conference in Cagayan de Oro City Both will proceed to the National Schools Press Conference in Cagayan de Oro City on July 17-21.

Other winners from STEFTI include Jameekah Ishbel Angeli V. Belciña in Pagsulat ng Balita – 3rd Place; Jyviere Simon A. Yepez – Editorial Writing, 3rd Place; and Jacinta Noelle P. Enage – Copyreading and Headline Writing, also winning 3rd Place.

For the High School category, Mary Dwell L. Fronteras placed third in Pagwawasto ng Sipi at Pag-uulo ng Balita, Ramielle Andrea C. Mueva,  4th Place in Pagsulat ng Editoryal, Kim Alexa V. Declarador 5th Place in Photojournalism and Zaq D. Solite also 5th Place in Editorial Writing.

Mamita, Ms. Ma. Ninfa E. Josol, Ms. Catherine Homeres, Ms. Tiffany Ann Maraya and Ms. Cleo Thea Ong mentored the high school writers.
