STEFTI A’s tandem of Marie Noelle F. Castillo (Grade 11) and Wilben Ong (Grade 10) finished the 7th Visayas Universities Debate Championship – British Parliamentary as Grand Finalists held last Nov. 6-7 at Discord and Zoom platforms. These student debaters made it through four rounds of rigorous battle in debating with other high school and college students from the Visayas during the Preliminaries, then broke to Semi-Final Round then to Grand Finals. Wilben Ong, on the other hand, was adjudged as the Over-all Best Speaker for the High School Category during the Awarding Ceremony last Nov 7 capping the two-day virtual debate tournament.
Meanwhile STEFTI B and F debaters Zaq Solite, Pia Nicole Declarador, Danielle Chynna Añover, and Hanz Entantanto, all Senior High students, emerged as Semi-Finalists in this tournament.
