Our high school student writers once again romped ahead garnering 13 gold medals in the Division Schools Press Conference to win the Over-all Championship Award representing DLC 6 during the awarding ceremony held at the Leyte National High School yesterday. They bested over 500 campus journalists coming from about 26 public and private schools in the city. These students will represent Tacloban City Division in the Regional Schools Press Conference on May 31-June 2, 2023 at Dolores, Eastern Samar.
Gaining a spot in the RSSPC throne are Samantha Marie L. Refuerzo – News Writing (Eng); Tasha Margarette L. Magalona – Feature Writing (Fil); Mary Dianne L. Fronteras – Feature Writing (Fil); Zaq L. Solite – Editorial Writing (Eng); Ramielle Andrea C. Mueva – Editorial Writing (Fil); Mary Dwell L. Fronteras – Copyreading and Headline Writing (Fil); Kim Alexa V. Declarador and Sophia Gabrielle C. Naputo – Photojournalism (Eng/Fil).
Also adjudged champions in Online Publishing- English are Rydelle Eugene D. Apostol, Adam Gabriel Estrellado, Condeliza Cleofe C. Yu, Chernell Mishka B. Pedros and Lyka S. Unabia.
