August 2019

In celebration of this year’s Buwan ng Wika, STEFTI welcomed August with various activities upholding the theme, “Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino.”

The Junior High School Department held competitions within each year level that showcased the students’ talents and skills, one of which was the school’s version of the famous segment, “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” from a noontime show.  Selected students from each class competed and sang different OPM songs.

Some students participated in the Urban Pinoy Music dance interpretation. Students also expressed themselves through spoken word poetry with common themes such as “buhay”, “pag-ibig”, and “kalikasan”.

The annual wearing of the “Kasuotang Filipino” highligted the festivities as the students displayed their baro’t saya,  kamisa chino at pantalon. The winners of the various contests performed during the culminating activity at the PRA which marked the end of the celebration of the Buwan ng Wika. This activity was spearheaded by the JHS Filipino teachers.
